Couch Club Trivia is for a little friendly competition. Play for fun, use the service respectfully, and remember that trivia answers can occasionally need correcting. Your mandatory consumer rights still apply.

About these terms

These terms apply to your use of Couch Club Trivia, its Roku and Apple TV games, its question service, and couchclubtrivia.com, operated by Good Company Games (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

If you are not old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review these terms and supervise your use. A parent or guardian who permits a minor to use the service is responsible for that supervised use.

Playing the game

We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the game and website for your personal, non-commercial entertainment, subject to these terms and the applicable platform rules. The game requires a compatible Roku or Apple TV device for TV play. Device, internet, and platform costs are your responsibility.

The current game does not require a separate Couch Club Trivia account. Solo and party play, question availability, and other features may vary with the app version, device, and connection. Regular game records are stored locally and may be lost if app data is cleared or becomes unavailable. Today’s Ten sends attempt data to the question service, allows one counted attempt per app-generated device ID for each edition, and requires an internet connection.

Friendly competition

Scores, streaks, and winners are for entertainment and bragging rights. The game does not award money or items of monetary value and does not offer gambling or paid competitions.

Please do not use the service unlawfully, interfere with other users or the question service, attempt unauthorized access, bypass security or request limits, or introduce harmful code. These restrictions do not limit rights that applicable law or an open-content license expressly gives you.

Questions and creative work

Couch Club Trivia combines original work and licensed community trivia. Our software, name, mascot, and original artwork belong to us or our licensors. Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners.

Community question text adapted from Open Trivia Database is available under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0. Source notices are provided in the game and in the website’s trivia credits. Those license terms govern the licensed material; these terms do not take away permissions granted by those licenses.

We aim to provide enjoyable, accurate questions, but errors, ambiguity, or outdated facts can occur. Content is for entertainment, not professional advice or an authoritative reference.

TV platforms and service availability

Couch Club Trivia is independently made and is not sponsored or endorsed by Roku, Inc. or Apple Inc. The applicable platform’s terms and policies apply separately to your device, platform account, app installation, and use of its services. Links to other websites do not mean we control or endorse their content.

We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue features or questions. We do not promise uninterrupted access, a fixed number of questions, or that a particular feature will remain available indefinitely. We will give notice where applicable law requires it.

Privacy

Our privacy policy explains local game storage, the random identifier used by the online question service, support messages, and technical request information. Please read it alongside these terms.

Warranties and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free content. You are responsible for deciding whether the game and its questions suit your group.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, or removes any warranty, remedy, or consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

Ending use

You may stop using the service at any time. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, legal requirements, or a breach of these terms. Provisions that by their nature need to continue, such as ownership and applicable limits of responsibility, continue after use ends.

Changes and questions

We may update these terms as the service changes and will update the date above. Material changes will be notified where required by law. If you do not agree to updated terms, stop using the service. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

These terms do not require arbitration, waive class-action rights, or limit the protections you have under mandatory local law.

For support, a trivia correction, or questions about these terms, contact Good Company Games at support@couchclubtrivia.com.
